The Safety team and Superintendents are dedicated to pinpointing training opportunities for their crews and are always open to requests for specialized job or leadership training from team members.

If you notice any safety concerns while on the job, please feel free to recommend topics for these talks to your Superintendent or site safety officer. Your input is valuable in maintaining a safe working environment.
Trust Account for Apprentice Training Fund for Employees
To further the training of the workforce, the Employer agrees to contribute monies to the “Trust Account for Apprentice Training Fund for Employees of Knappett Projects Inc.” jointly managed by the Association and the Employer. At the date of ratification of the last Agreement, this amount is three eighths of one percent (0.375%) of gross wages paid. The Employer acknowledges that it may become necessary to increase contributions to the Fund, should there be an increase in the need for training in general, or an increase in the number of participating apprentices. The purpose of the Fund is to provide for the reimbursement of tuition and books for each year an apprentice attends school, reimbursement for First Aid training, and reimbursement for occupation specific courses that are trade related and have been pre-approved as eligible by the Employer. Reimbursement will be provided upon submission of receipts and proof of a passing grade. Compensation for other training will be considered by the Employer on a case-by-case basis
