About Us
In early 2017, Knappett Projects’ employees made a landmark decision to transition from the traditional union CISIWU to a legally equivalent, employee-operated association known as the Knappett Projects Employees' Association (KPEA). This new structure is managed by an elected board from our own ranks, alongside experienced labor relations professionals, ensuring enhanced service, greater decision-making power for employees, increased flexibility, and reduced dues for all members.
Our Services
Among its many services, the KPEA is responsible for:
- Negotiating collective agreements
- Advising members as to their rights and obligations under the collective agreement
- Handling investigations, grievances and arbitrations as required
- Connecting with members via site visits
- Advancing the interests of members with management and other stakeholders
