The Knappett Projects Employees' Association (KPEA) takes great pride in delivering exceptional services to our members. This includes being readily available by email and phone for questions and concerns, conflict resolution support, regular site visits, handling investigations, grievances and arbitrations as required, advocating for the EA with management, and of course the negotiation of collective agreements that include competitive wages, retirement savings plans, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and opportunities for training and career advancement. An Employee Association (EA) is a legally recognized union in the eyes of the law and is also an organization that is tailored to cater to the needs of Knappett Projects workers. The EA is managed by a team skilled in running employee associations which includes ensuring compliance with legal requirements, maintaining financial records, and addressing the day-to-day concerns of employees.

On February 2, 2017, the employees of Knappett Projects participated in a crucial vote to decide on a jurisdictional change. This vote proposed transitioning from their union, CISIWU, to a new employees' association run by Knappett Projects workers. The outcome was a resounding endorsement, with the majority voting in favor of the move.
